Short version: Temvo runs on your own device and never asks for your name or email to play. Your results are also mirrored to our server under an anonymous ID so streaks survive and scores can be compared. The site is supported by advertising, and this page explains exactly what all of that involves.

What we store

Your streak, per-mode bests, daily results, theme, language, and sound preference are saved in your browser's local storage. That copy is the one the game actually runs on, and clearing your browser data for this site erases it.

Your results are also mirrored to our database, so that streaks can survive and scores can be ranked. That copy is tied to an anonymous ID created for your browser the first time you finish a round — not to you. It holds:

• Your daily results: the day, your total, and how close you came on each of the five rounds.
• Your practice runs: which mode, how accurate, and when.
• Your streak, best score, days played, and average accuracy.

That's the whole list. No IP-based profile, no browsing history, no advertising identifier, and nothing that names you.

Accounts

You never need an account. The first time you finish a round, your browser is given an anonymous ID so your results have somewhere to belong. It isn't linked to your name or email, we don't know who it is, and it lives in a cookie for this site — so clearing your browser data effectively starts you over as a new, unrelated player.

Signing in with Google is optional, and only worth doing if you want your progress to follow you between devices or to appear on a leaderboard under a name. If you do, we store the name and profile picture Google gives us, and your anonymous history carries over to that account. We never see your Google password, and we don't use your email for anything other than identifying the account.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the game is used in aggregate, for example how many people visit a given page, and Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load for real visitors. Neither uses cookies, and neither collects or stores personal information. We don't use them to identify you, and we don't sell your data.

Advertising

Temvo is free, and advertising is what will pay for it. Ads aren't running on the site yet, and no advertising script or cookie is loaded today. When they are, Google will serve them as a third-party vendor, and this is what that involves:

• Google uses cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to Temvo and/or other sites on the internet.
• Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site and may use cookies or similar technologies of their own to do so.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. To opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising, visit aboutads.info or the NAI opt-out page. Opting out doesn't remove ads; it makes the ones you see less tailored to you.

If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland

No advertising or measurement cookies are set on this site at present. Once advertising is running, and where the law requires it, we'll ask for your consent before any such cookie is set, through a consent banner, and you'll be able to change or withdraw that choice at any time from the same control. The site stays fully playable either way. Local storage used purely to run the game (your scores, streak, and settings), and the cookie holding your anonymous session, are necessary for the site to work and aren't used for advertising.

Shared results

When you share a result, the link contains only the day number and your round scores, nothing personal about you.

Children

Temvo isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

Your rights

Clearing your browser data for this site erases the local copy and detaches you from the anonymous ID that held the server copy. To have the server copy itself deleted — including a Google-linked account and everything attached to it — email us and we'll remove it. For anything held by our advertising or analytics partners, use the opt-out links above, or email us and we'll help as far as we're able.

Changes

We'll update this page whenever what we collect changes, and the date at the top will always tell you when it last did.
