What is Temvo?
A daily game of time perception. Five quick rounds test how accurately you can sense the passage of time, with no clock to watch. A new set drops every day, the same five rounds for everyone.
Do I need an account?
No. Temvo plays instantly in your browser. Your streak, bests, and daily results are saved on your device, not on a server. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
How does the daily challenge work?
Everyone gets the same five rounds each day. You get one shot. Once you finish, your result is locked until the next reset, which happens at your local midnight. Practice modes stay open all day if you want to keep playing.
What are the five modes?
Guess (judge how long a hidden timer ran), Hit (stop the clock on a target time), Echo (repeat an interval you hear), Tempo (hold a beat after it falls silent), and 9.99 (stop the timer dead on 9.99). Each one tests a different part of your sense of time.
How is my score calculated?
Each round scores from 0 to 100 by how close you land, measured as a percentage of the target rather than a fixed margin. The five rounds add up to a daily total out of 500. The Scoring page has the full breakdown.
Why did I get 99 when I was perfect?
A full 100 is reserved for a literal, dead-on hit. Anything short of exact caps at 99, so when you see a 100 you know it means exact, not merely very close.
Can I practise without spending my daily run?
Yes. Every mode has a practice page you can play as often as you like, and each tracks your best run average separately. Your daily attempt is untouched until you start it.
Is counting in my head cheating?
No rule stops you, and plenty of players count. It tends to help most in the longer rounds and hurt in the short ones, where the act of counting adds its own delay. Most people score better once they stop counting and start feeling the interval.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free. No download, no paywall, no sign-up. The site is supported by advertising, which is what keeps the game free to play.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Temvo is built for both phone and desktop and runs in any modern browser. On desktop you can play the tap-based modes with the space bar.
Can I turn the sound off?
Yes. Audio cues mark the start and stop of each round, but every mode stays fully playable muted, and you can toggle sound from within a game. Echo and Tempo are much easier with sound on, since the cue you're judging is a sound in the first place.
Does my device or connection affect my score?
Barely. Rounds are timed in the browser once they've started, so network speed doesn't come into it. Screen refresh rate and input lag add a few milliseconds at most, which is far below the margin that separates a good round from a bad one.
What happens to my streak if I miss a day?
It resets to zero, and your best streak is kept separately so your record survives. Streaks are stored on your device, so clearing your browser data or switching devices starts you fresh.
